BUILT TO LAST A LIFETIME
American Craftsmanship, designed and built in Detroit. Every
Workshop furniture piece is proudly handcrafted at our fabrication shop
on St. Antoine Street using structural lumber carefully salvaged from
Detroit houses and commercial buildings. In order to preserve and
celebrate its place in Detroit’s history, each piece of our furniture
comes with the Workshop Legacy Stamp indicating the street address of
where the materials were reclaimed from. Workshop works closely
with Detroit deconstruction crews to rescue valuable old growth
structural lumber destined for the landfill. Essentially, we are giving
this old-growth lumber a third life.
